Remember Remember

Hello again! I hope your week has been wonderful. It’s been a bit of a “bits-and-pieces” week here at Magpies and Diamonds HQ. We just celebrated Mr. Magpie’s birthday and took a couple of days off to escape to the coast. Think moody grey skies and sea, being warmer than expected and, of course, lots of cake. A cosy lovely time indeed! So, my usual schedule took a little pause, and now here we are—November already, and wish-list season is upon us.

Did you know the name “November” comes from the Latin word novem, meaning “nine”? In the ancient Roman calendar, November was the ninth month following March. This time of year is also known as the “Snow Moon” season, according to Pagan traditions, and as the “Moon of the Falling Leaves.”

As the festive holidays approach, expect more treasures to appear in the shop. Here’s a little preview of what’s coming along with some snaps from our recent beach trip. So happy too that we’ll have our illustrated (by me) London buildings cards back in stock soon too. They are perfect for sending thoughtful little notes or adding to your décor if you wish. The webshop will also be starting to stock vessels and items for the home, all with an old quirky aesthetic. One of the plans for next year is for Magpies and Diamonds to stock vintage and antique home décor. So, stay tuned for new arrivals and, as always, until next time
